The New York Daily News erroneously reported that "a quarter of men in Asia say they've raped a woman at least once" in their article on the UN Multi-country Study on Men and Violence jointly launched today by UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women and UNV through their regional joint programme Partners for Prevention. The study was based on interviews with 10,000 men at nine sites in six countries in the Asia-Pacific and its authors stress that the findings are representative of the study sites but not representative of the entire Asia-Pacific region.
