On 28 August, Brazils National Volunteer Day, the 2016 Olympic Games Volunteer Recruitment website was launched. Anyone interested can volunteer to share their skills and meet people from all over the world:

People can register to become volunteers for the 2016 Olympic Games, Rio 2016, from 28 August to 15 November 2014. Up to 70,000 volunteers will be recruited to support the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. There will be two categories of volunteers: Generalists (no specific qualifications needed) and Specialists (with knowledge of sports, languages, technology and medical services).
