SDG 3: Good health and well-being, SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals
Undernutrition is an important contributor to poor maternal, newborn and child survival and development in Uganda. Stunting (low height for age) and wasting (low weight for height) are key indicators of childhood malnutrition and are the result of chronic or recurrent undernutrition. Both conditions are usually associated with poverty, poor maternal health and nutrition and/or inappropriate feeding and care in early life. Both indicators prevent children from reaching their physical and cognitive potential.

Despite the need for immediate response to the threats posed by the pandemic, countries must maintain a long-term perspective. The protection of human rights would help maintain peace and security and ensure the continuity of sustainable development, especially in post-conflict states such as Guatemala. In line with this, OHCHR continues to fulfill its mandate in Guatemala – albeit virtually due to COVID-19.

Last year "Myropolis" gathered nearly 200 young people from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (regions) to build city of peace: teenagers participated in educational and artistic activities that helped them to learn how to conduct negotiations for peace and recovery – important knowledge when you live in the conflict affected areas. Many of participants never left their villages before "Myropolis" sessions. Situation in these lands is really fragile and challenging: no descent roads, villages are very difficult to reach, parents do not allow children even to leave the houses.
